After the visit.
Plain-language notes about tests, medicines, and research.
Diagnostic tests
Your plan may include one or more of these tests. The reason and timing depend on the question being asked.
When results return
How I will follow up your results
Results may appear in MyChart before the full interpretation is ready. A result is one part of the story.
- 01Released
You and I receive portal results at the same time.
- 02Reviewed
I may wait for several tests or review imaging personally before putting the story together.
- 03Explained
I will contact you quickly if something needs urgent attention. If you do not hear right away, it usually means the result is not an emergency.
- 04Discussed
I will send next steps in the portal, and we will review the results together at your next visit. A telemedicine follow-up can give us more time when needed.
Medications
Your medicines
Know why you are taking each medicine, the dose and timing, common side effects, and whom to contact with questions or for refills.
Anti-amyloid therapy
These treatments require an Alzheimer’s disease evaluation, a discussion of benefits and risks, and MRI safety monitoring.
Research studies
Observational studies
Researchers collect information or follow changes over time. Participants are not assigned a treatment.
Clinical trials
Researchers assign an intervention so they can study its effects. A trial may test a drug, device, procedure, or behavior.
